TheDailyWhat posting my video? I feel like my news story made the front page of the New York Times, only a bajillion times less important. Dad Haskel, are you proud?

thedailywhat:

This Is Funny, You Should Watch It of the Day: Keith Haskel has somehow managed to go through 23 years of existence without learning how to ride a bike.

Luckily, for him and for us, his 60-year-old dad was up for the challenge of helping Keith rectify his sorry situation.

[thanks keith!]

The Daily What is making me pretty happy today. First they post this hilarious video about videogame bosses disappointed with their henchmen, and then they posted my bike video! Rock on.

thedailywhat:

CollegeHumor Original of the Day: Final bosses from across Videogameland gather up their minions to ask one simple question: How in the World 1-1 are they being slaughtered en masse by a single goddamn guy?!

New original short [yes, this is real]:

Training Wheels

Keith went 23 years without knowing how to ride a bike.
With the help of his 60-year-old father, he attempts to change that.

nine inch nails - somewhat damaged (live @ terminal 5, nyc 8/26/2009)

Remember when I was head over heels, apeshit-deep in love with Nine Inch Nails and saw them 4 times in one week in 2009? This video from their last show in New York City is a pretty gnarly example why (0:45).

Day 2 of Project “Something”
Lots of writing, less of editing.
Rough cut of a new video has a self-imposed deadline of 2pm today.
New ideas: Film learning how to ice skate on Feb 27?
Also: Film a zany/creepy tourist video when I go away on Thursday?
Open mic standup with painfully awful/awkward material?
Lots of brainstorming, less of editing.

Project “Something” - Day 1

Starting today, I will be spending the next 6 weeks working full-time on new videos and pitches (minus a 5 day vacation to LA).

The uber-talented John Langan is on board to intern, associate produce, and help out with workflow. That’s him in the screen grab above, kicking things off with a productive webchat. If you’re unfamiliar with the talent of Mr. Langan, do yourself a favor and check out his website John Langan Online and awesome band The Motorcycle Industry.

We’re not so sure specifically what it is we’ll be doing, but there’s a buttload of ambition, confidence, and determination on the table. Should be a good time.
